Track rent arrears
UnitDesk compares, per lease and per month, the expected rent with the payments matched to it, and shows who has paid, who has paid in part and who is behind, without you updating a single cell.
How UnitDesk does this
- Every lease carries its rent and its due day. From that, UnitDesk knows the amount expected for every month, per tenant and per unit.
- Payments arrive as imported bank transactions, as a CSV or Excel file, or by recording them yourself, and are matched to the right lease and the right month.
- A month counts as paid only when the amount received covers the rent, or when you explain the gap with a write-off, an agreed discount or a deduction from the deposit; those three move no money. Without such an entry the month stays partially paid and you see the gap in euros.
- The overview shows the open months and the total per tenant, so you can copy those figures straight into a reminder or a registered formal notice.
A landlord who keeps the rent roll in a spreadsheet finds arrears only when comparing the column with the bank statement. In property management software like UnitDesk, the gap shows up by itself, the day after the due day.
UnitDesk does not collect rent; it follows what arrives in your account.
